Role Overview
This role leads the development of high-quality proposals, pitch decks and IP concepts to support new business and partnership opportunities.
The role is primarily pre-sales focused, translating incoming leads into structured, compelling and commercially sound proposals. It works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure proposals are aligned with client objectives, operational feasibility and KIN’s strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work with CCO, COO, Head of Partnerships and business leads on incoming opportunities
Attend and support client meetings where required to understand briefs and gather feedback
Follow up on client discussions and meetings to refine proposals, address comments and ensure the proposal remains aligned with client expectations.
Align inputs from multiple stakeholders into a cohesive and commercially sound proposal
Proposal Development & Pitching
Lead end-to-end development of proposals, pitch decks and supporting materials
Translate briefs into clear, structured and persuasive proposals
Maintain consistency in quality, messaging and presentation standards
Leverage AI tools to enhance proposal development, content generation and productivity
IP Development & Conceptualisation
Develop creative IP concepts and event ideas aligned with market opportunities
Contribute to storytelling and positioning for new business and partnerships
Refine concepts into commercially viable and executable proposals
Utilise AI tools to support ideation, trend analysis and concept development
Commercial Structuring & Costing
Work closely with operations and finance teams to develop detailed and accurate costings
Develop commercially sound, competitive and deliverable proposals
Balance creativity with feasibility and operational constraints
Proposal Governance & Repository
Maintain a central repository of proposals and pitch materials
Improve templates, formats and proposal processes over time
Uphold version control and documentation standards
Validate that all outputs, including those supported by AI tools, are accurate, credible and aligned with business and client requirements.
Reporting Structure
Primary: Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)
Dotted line: Chief Operating Officer (COO) for costing, feasibility and execution alignment
Working Model
Supports multiple stakeholders through a lead-based model
Works with designated Lead Owners for each opportunity
Responsible for overall proposal quality and delivery
Each opportunity will have a designated Lead Owner to guide direction and ensure accountability
Requirements
Strong experience in proposal writing, pitch development or strategic presentations
Background in events, sports, marketing, agency or partnerships preferred
Confident in attending client meetings, understanding briefs and following up to refine proposals
Strong storytelling and structured thinking and commercial awareness
Able to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders effectively
Familiarity with or openness to leveraging AI tools for content creation, research and productivity
Skills & Competencies
Strong proficiency in PowerPoint with ability to create clear, structured and visually strong presentation decks
Good working knowledge of Excel for costing, data organisation and formatting
Strong research and analytical skills, with ability to synthesise information into clear insights
Good storyboarding ability to structure presentations logically and communicate ideas effectively
Strong attention to detail with good document management and formatting skills
Familiarity with AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Copilot) to enhance productivity and content development
Ability to validate content for accuracy, credibility and alignment with client requirements
