Company Description

Well-established global industrial manufacturing company with over 20 years of market presence and a leadership position in its niche within a multi-billion-dollar industry.

We are now investing in a dedicated B2B e-commerce platform, adapting established market solutions to meet our unique business requirements. As part of this initiative, we are building a core digital team that will play a critical role in guiding the company into its next phase of growth.

This team will include a forward-thinking Technical Project Manager and a Senior Full-Stack Developer, forming a pioneering squad responsible for developing and enhancing our B2B e-commerce products built on BigCommerce. The platform will leverage digital tools, automated workflows, and innovative processes to better serve existing and new customers, increase global brand awareness, and directly impact sales revenue.

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager who can bridge technical and business requirements, oversee platform delivery, and support the evaluation and implementation of ERP solutions when required.

Role Overview

The Technical Project Manager will oversee the end-to-end delivery of the B2B e-commerce platform, managing external development vendors as well as coordinating with in-house developers and UX designers.

This role blends technical understanding, business judgment, and project governance, ensuring the platform aligns with company objectives, is delivered on time, and meets high standards for quality, security, performance, and usability.

You will manage projects from requirements gathering through solution design, vendor evaluation, development supervision, deployment, and ongoing maintenance, while providing clear, actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of B2B e-commerce platform initiatives from initiation through post-launch support and continuous improvement.

  • Gather and analyse business requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications and delivery plans.

  • Evaluate technical proposals and third-party solutions for feasibility, scalability, cost, and alignment with business objectives.

  • Monitor project timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, and resource allocation.

  • Identify delivery risks, assess trade-offs, and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with internal governance, development standards, security requirements, and reporting processes.

  • Act as the primary liaison with external vendors, including challenging deliverables for quality, scope, and technical alignment.

  • Collaborate closely with internal full-stack developers and UX designers to ensure solutions meet business and user needs.

  • Provide regular status updates, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations to senior management.

  • Contribute to process standardisation, SOP development, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.

Requirements

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related discipline.

  • 5–8 years of experience in technical, product, or project management within e-commerce, digital platforms, or software development.

  • Proven track record delivering platform, R&D, or digital product initiatives.

  • Experience working with cross-border or international teams is highly advantageous.

Technical & Professional Skills
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, and system integrations; experience with e-commerce and/or ERP platforms is a strong advantage.

  • Ability to review and challenge technical designs, architecture diagrams, and implementation plans without hands-on coding.

  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery methodologies; PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are preferred.

  • Experience managing external vendors, partners, and internal technical teams.

  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.

  • Solid understanding of risk management, dependency tracking, and resource coordination.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering B2B e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, or digital transformation programs.

  • Exposure to large-scale, cross-domain, or multi-million-dollar initiatives.
