Role Summary
The client is hiring a Technical Engineering Manager in Singapore to lead engineering teams and drive end-to-end delivery of secure, scalable web and mobile commerce solutions. This role owns end-to-end technical delivery, drives modern SDLC practices, and partners closely with business stakeholders to deliver outcomes aligned with regional and enterprise objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, nurture develop high-performing engineering teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Drive modern SDLC practices, including Gen-AI adoption, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code quality standards.
Architect and oversee scalable web, mobile (iOS/Android), and microservices solutions using React, Node.js, and modern payment platforms.
Lead API and system integrations across enterprise and regional platforms.
Champion cloud and DevOps practices (AWS, Azure, Jenkins, Docker), with strong focus on reliability, monitoring, and security.
Serve as the security-by-design owner, ensuring all solutions meet enterprise security standards and local regulatory requirements.
Collaborate closely with Product, UX, QA, Infrastructure, and business stakeholders across Singapore and the region.
Track and communicate delivery progress, team performance, and key engineering metrics to leadership.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
8+ years of engineering experience, including 4+ years in engineering management or technical leadership roles.
Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale e-commerce or digital platform solutions, preferably in a regional APAC context.
Strong expertise in SDLC, Gen-AI in development workflows, CI/CD, microservices, and modern web/mobile technologies.
Hands-on experience with API and system-to-system integrations.
Solid background in cloud and DevOps (AWS, Azure, Jenkins, Docker).
Strong ownership of security-by-design and compliance-driven development.
Experience with Adobe Commerce, AEM, Adobe Analytics, or Adobe Target is a plus.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
