The Senior Merchandiser will lead regional product sourcing, development, and supplier management for GiftMarket’s corporate gifting portfolio across Singapore and Malaysia. This role plays a central part in shaping the quality, range, and competitiveness of GiftMarket’s product offerings, including the management and continuous enhancement of the Gift Market Promotional & Premium Catalogue. You will also work closely with the merchandising team to maintain an effective and visually appealing showroom that supports sales and client engagement.
What you will be doing
Lead sourcing and development of new gifting products, including supplier evaluation, sampling, costing, and negotiations.
Manage the Gift Market Promotional & Premium Catalogue, ensuring product range, aesthetics, pricing, lead time, and quality remain competitive.
Maintain and update the backend website to ensure accurate product availability, pricing, descriptions, and lead times.
Ensure up-to-date price lists, production timelines, and cost sheets are obtained from suppliers and reflected internally.
Build and maintain strong regional supplier relationships for both Singapore and Malaysia.
Oversee showroom organisation and product display with the merchandising team.
Coordinate product updates, catalogues, pricing, and visuals with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams.
Support product lifecycle decisions, stock planning, and quality control checks.
Maintain proper product documentation, specifications, and costing records.
Whom are we looking for
Diploma/Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Marketing, or related disciplines.
Merchandising or product development experience; gifting, lifestyle, or retail background preferred.
Strong sourcing capabilities, particularly with China suppliers and factories.
Excellent negotiation, costing, and supplier management skills.
Strong aesthetic and product sense with high attention to detail.
Independent, proactive, and able to lead merchandising activities with minimal supervision.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-country environment.
Willing to travel to Malaysia, China, and other sourcing regions when required.
