Description
As the Retail Marketing & Operations Associate, you will be the backbone of daily store operations and the driving force behind our social-media activities. You’ll open and close the shop, handle inventory, provide top-notch customer service, and act as the primary voice of our brand on Instagram, Facebook, and Telegram groups. You’ll also help plan and execute in-store events—such as tournaments and deck-building tutorials—and manage e-commerce order fulfillment for both local and international customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Retail Operations (Daily Store Management)
- Open and close the physical store each day, including cash reconciliation, security checks, and ensuring shop presentation meets brand standards.
- Maintain overall shop cleanliness, organize merchandising displays, and provide point-of-sale (POS) support to cashiers or temporary staff.
- Inventory Management
- Receive and inspect incoming stock shipments; verify quantities and condition of items against packing lists.
- Update ERPNext (or equivalent) inventory records promptly and accurately.
- Perform routine stock counts (cycle counts), identify discrepancies (e.g., shrinkage or misplaced items), and coordinate reorders with suppliers or vendors.
- Customer Service
- Greet and assist walk-in customers: answer product questions, recommend TCG items based on play style or budget, and facilitate quick, friendly checkouts.
- Respond promptly and courteously to social-media chat-group inquiries and private messages, providing product information, order updates, and general support.
- Social Media & Community Management
- Draft, schedule, and publish content for Instagram, Facebook, and Telegram group channels—this includes promos, new-release announcements, event flyers, and player highlights.
- Monitor and moderate chat groups: encourage discussions, welcome new members, resolve customer questions or disputes, and enforce community guidelines.
- Track basic social-media metrics (likes, shares, comments, membership growth) and provide fortnightly or monthly summaries to management.
- Events & Community Engagement
- Assist in planning and running in-store tournaments, pre-release launch events, and casual meetups.
- Facilitate deck-building tutorials, teach basic game mechanics to new players, and organize friendly matches to maintain a welcoming environment.
- Coordinate with local game stores or influencers for co-promotions or collaborative events when opportunities arise.
- E-commerce Order Fulfillment
- Pick, pack, and label online orders accurately for both local and international shipping; ensure fragile or high-value items (e.g., booster boxes, promo cards) are properly protected.
- Prepare daily courier manifests, schedule pickups or drop-offs, and update order-tracking information in ERP or Shopify (or other platform).
- Handle returns or exchange requests: inspect returned items, update inventory appropriately, and communicate resolution to the customer.

- 0–3 years of hands-on retail experience, preferably within a hobby, gaming, or specialty retail environment.
- Prior involvement in social-media content creation or community management (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Telegram).
- Familiarity with ERPNext, Shopify, or similar inventory/e-commerce management systems is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient with social-media scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite) or native platform features (Meta Business Suite).
- Basic photo editing or graphic-design aptitude (e.g., Canva, Photoshop) to create simple promotional assets.
- Comfortable using POS systems (e.g., Square, Vend) and handling cash reconciliation.
- Knowledge & Interests:
- Passion for trading card games (e.g., Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!) or similar tabletop hobbies.

- Adaptable: comfortable switching between floor-staff duties (e.g., cashiering, restocking) and digital tasks (e.g., drafting posts, responding to DMs) on a daily basis.
