Description

WHO WE ARE

Farmio is a B2B food supply company on a scaling journey — growing our customer base across Singapore's food service sector, moving upmarket into larger accounts, and building the operational backbone that makes that growth possible. We move fast, we're expanding, and we need the ops infrastructure to keep pace.

We are a lean team. There are no excess layers here. Every person owns something real, and the work they do shows up directly in how the business performs.

THE ROLE

We're looking for an Operations Manager who is sharp, fast-learning, and built to lead — not to be managed.

You'll own end-to-end daily operations across three functions: stock procurement and ordering, warehouse and inventory, and last-mile delivery to our customers. The teams and processes are already in place. Your job is to step in, ramp up quickly, and raise the standard of execution across the board.

You'll lead three function-level team members and report directly to the Country Manager.

LEADING A TEAM THAT'S ALREADY RUNNING

The three functions — procurement, warehouse, and delivery — already have people in place. Your job is not to start from scratch. It is to step in, understand every moving part of the operation, and lead the team to a higher standard of execution.

This requires two things above all else.

First, the ability to learn fast. If you don't come from this industry, you need to be the kind of person who absorbs an unfamiliar operation quickly, identifies what's working and what isn't, and starts making an impact within weeks — not months.

Second, genuine leadership. The ability to orchestrate a team, set the pace, hold people accountable, and bring out better performance without micromanaging. You don't wait to be told what to do. You walk in, read the room, and start driving.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Supply & Stock Management

Make sure we always have what we need, when we need it. Work with the sales team to anticipate demand. Monitor suppliers and act early when supply is at risk. Think ahead — if a large order is coming, make sure the operation can absorb it before it arrives.

Warehouse & Inventory

Own the physical operations — receiving, storage, stock counts, quality checks, and expiry management. Inventory accuracy is your responsibility. When discrepancies happen, find the root cause and fix it structurally.

Delivery & Fulfilment

Make sure every order reaches every customer on time and in full. Manage delivery partners and third-party providers to clear service standards. When fulfilment fails, own the diagnosis and the fix.

Cost & Efficiency

Own the operational cost line. Find ways to reduce cost without compromising service. Track performance metrics and bring data-backed recommendations to leadership.

Reporting & Cross-functional Coordination

Report weekly on delivery performance, inventory accuracy, procurement status, and cost metrics. Work closely with sales and finance to ensure ops execution supports commercial commitments.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We care less about which industry you came from and more about how you operate.

The profile we have in mind: someone who has run or led operations inside a fast-moving startup or scale-up — where you had to build the process, not just follow it. Where things broke and you fixed them personally. Where "that's not my job" wasn't an option.

If you've led ops at a tech startup, a delivery or logistics platform, an e-commerce fulfilment company, or any high-growth business where execution speed and intelligence mattered more than hierarchy — we want to hear from you.

What we're looking for:

•  Exceptionally fast learner — you can walk into an unfamiliar operation and get up to speed quickly

•  Strong leadership — you set the pace, hold people accountable, and bring out better performance in your team

•  A natural problem-solver who diagnoses root causes, not symptoms

•  Comfortable with data — you track numbers, spot anomalies, and make decisions from them

•  Strong planning instincts — you connect upstream signals to downstream problems before they become fires

•  At least 4 years of experience in any operational, execution-heavy, or team leadership role

You'll thrive here if you:

•  Take ownership instinctively — your first move when something breaks is to fix it, not escalate it

•  Are genuinely excited by a scaling business, not a steady-state one

•  Can operate without a full support structure around you

•  Want real ownership and a role where your impact is visible

WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT

This is not a role for someone who needs a layer of supervisors to function. It is not a role where dedicated HR, IT, or finance support is on standby. It is not a role where you manage from a distance and review reports written by others.

If your last role had multiple reporting layers between you and the ground — and you preferred it that way — this will not be the right fit.

WHAT WE OFFER

•  Basic salary $5,000–$7,500 depending on experience

•  Direct ownership of a critical function at a company in active growth

•  Lean team, short decision cycles — your ideas get implemented

•  Real progression path as the business scales
