Operations & Business Development Executive (Fresh Graduates Welcome)
Modern Hippi Singapore
Description
About Modern Hippi
Modern Hippi is a fast-growing specialty coffee brand focused on delivering premium freeze-dried coffee through e-commerce, retail, and B2B channels. As a startup, we operate lean, hands-on, and execution-driven — and we believe real learning happens on the ground, not just behind a desk.
About the Role (Career Acceleration Focus)
This role is designed as a career accelerator, not a comfort-zone job.
As an Operations & Business Development Executive, you will be exposed to the real mechanics of running and growing a consumer brand — from daily fulfillment and inventory management to working directly with supermarkets, cafés, and retail partners.
The baseline of this role is operations. As you gain confidence and capability, you will also be involved in account management and business development, making this role ideal for fresh graduates or early-career professionals who have not yet decided whether they want to pursue operations, sales, or general management.
If you want hands-on experience, real responsibility, and fast learning in a startup environment, this role will challenge you — and reward you with practical skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations & Fulfillment (Core Responsibility)
Manage daily order fulfillment, including picking, packing, labelling, and dispatch.
Prepare materials and documentation required for fulfillment.
Ensure 100% accuracy and timely processing of customer orders.
Support the smooth operation of Modern Hippi’s micro-fulfillment centre.
2. Inventory & Logistics Management
Manage inventory for products and packaging materials.
Track stock levels, expiry dates, and replenishment needs.
Set up and coordinate logistics for pop-ups, events, and sampling activities.
3. B2B Fulfillment & Account Support
Deliver products to key B2B partners such as Cold Storage and other supermarkets.
Support servicing of existing B2B accounts, ensuring reliable and professional execution.
Assist with introducing Modern Hippi products to new cafés, restaurants, and retail establishments.
Coordinate deliveries, follow-ups, and basic account communication.
4. Sampling, Pop-Ups & Brand Activation (Saturday Requirement)
Support and run product sampling activities at supermarkets, pop-ups, and partner locations.
Set up booths, prepare samples, and engage customers professionally.
Represent the Modern Hippi brand confidently during activations.
Be available to work every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM for sampling and in-store activations.
5. Team & Operational Support
Support day-to-day operational tasks as required by the team.
Assist with coordinating logistics, materials, and schedules.
Identify operational gaps and propose improvements.
Who Thrives in This Role (Important – Please Read)
You will do well in this role if you:
Are comfortable with hands-on execution, including packing orders and managing logistics
Can commit to Saturday sampling activities
Are confident speaking with café owners, supermarket staff, and retail partners
Are open to learning across both operations and business development
If you can handle Saturday sampling, pack boxes without ego, and speak confidently with café owners, you will develop skills that are valuable in almost any future role.
If you are looking for a desk-only or strategy-only position, this role will not be a good fit.
