Description
This position is managing house brand and responsible for maintaining accurate procurement records, assisting in the sourcing and selection of products and suppliers, and actively contributing to the company's profitability by driving gross margin through effective cost negotiation, competitive sourcing, and product selection strategies.
Job Responsibilities:
Source for new products and manage assigned merchandise categories
Plan merchandise assortment considering category mix and range planning.
Analyse product pricing strategies and their impact on sales and margins.
Drive Gross Margin Improvements through negotiations with supplier.
Liaise with suppliers on promotional activities and prompt delivery of stocks.
Develop strategies to manage slow-moving products and optimize sell-through rates.
Develop accurate sales and profit forecasts, and effectively manage budgets to support strategic business objectives.
Develop and implement cost-effective sales and marketing strategies to optimize sales and profitability.
Ensure timely replenishment of best-selling items to meet customer demand.
Manage inventory levels effectively by tracking stock movement, identifying potential stockouts, and optimizing inventory turnover.
Collaboration with internal stakeholders across different departments to execute the promotion strategies in alignment with the product launches.
Review and analyze sales reports to identify trends, identify areas for improvement, and develop and recommend strategic initiatives to enhance sales performance.
Conduct market research to stay current with the market trend and competitor strategies.
Job Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, with a proven track record in category management.
Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a team.
Knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
