Marketing Manager (Business & Communications)
About the Company
Connected is a personality-led parenting app helping families grow together. We deliver deeply personalized, story-driven content that supports children aged 4–9 in building confidence, empathy, and connection. Through playful “cookies,” comic panels, and expert advice, we help parents bring social-emotional learning into everyday life.
The product is in motion, and the pieces are coming together. Now, we’re focused on crafting an experience that feels clear, warm, and beautifully simple—for both kids and parents.
You’ll join a small, thoughtful team that values collaboration, curiosity, and design that quietly makes things better. If you care about the details, and how they make people feel, we’d love to meet you.
Why this role exists
We’re looking for someone to become the owner of our marketing.
Today, marketing happens — but no one truly owns it end to end. This role exists to change that. You’ll be responsible for thinking about marketing holistically, turning ideas into plans, and then bringing those plans to life. This is a hybrid role. You’ll think, plan, test, learn, and execute. You won’t just manage others, and you won’t be handed perfect clarity upfront.
What you’ll do
You’ll own our marketing across planning, execution, and optimisation — with a strong focus on digital.
This includes:
● Owning end-to-end marketing metrics (from awareness to conversion)
● Creating rolling 3-month marketing plans
● Building and maintaining content and campaign calendars
● Working with writers, designers, and video editors to produce content (you won’t be the creator, but you’ll own the output)
● Publishing content, monitoring performance, and improving what works
● Managing digital channels (social, email, and community), including both owned and paid media
● Supporting occasional offline or physical activations (~10% or less)
Requirements
● 3–6 years of experience in digital marketing or related roles, with readiness to take end-to-end ownership
● Grounded in and connected to the way marketing works in the world today
● Strong initiative and accountability, including proactively driving timelines, coordinating stakeholders, and following through on execution
● Sound judgment in balancing conviction with openness, integrating feedback without losing sight of objectives
● Experience establishing planning, execution, and reporting rhythms that align marketing with business goals
● Exposure to growing reach, engagement, acquisition, and conversion, with a results-oriented mindset
● Ability to collaborate effectively across creative, production, and business teams
● Personal qualities of kindness, resilience, curiosity, and goal orientation, with energy drawn from bringing ideas to life rather than only discussing them
