Purpose:

The Market Manager’s primary responsibility to onboard, develop and maintain a high-quality portfolio of hotel and property products (i.e relevant as per company requirement, attractive and competitive) for DidaTravel international customer base, within their assigned territory.

Position Requirements:

  • High impact personality: intellectual agility, entrepreneurship, compassion in relationship, great teammate.

  • Accomplishment in hotel contracting. Success in acquiring, mentoring & building long term relationship with hotel partners.

  • Demonstrates ability to prioritize work and be laser focused on achieving critical targets, goals and/or strategic objectives set by company

  • 20-30% of travel for market visits to meet regularly with key hotels.

  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Conscientious, quick learner, adaptable, Self-aware, accountable, responsible.

  • Independent work ethic, ability to work remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and progressively expand a portfolio of local hotel partners prioritize from company needs and facilitating hotel on-boarding. 

  • Develop and sustain strong partner relationships with hotel partners. Providing relevant data and high quality consulting services to hotel partners (high efficiency package, marketing opportunities)

  • Execute effectively based on KPI metrics (targets, goals and/or strategic objectives) set by the company.

  • Ensure that partner hotels’ product (content, rates and availability) is consistently optimized and competitive.

  • Represent DidaTravel in the local market, build DidaTravel’s company profile with key local influencers (e.g., tourism bureau, hotel association, etc.) and provide expertise to the local industry.

  • Manage listing processes for new hotels and renewals with existing hotel partners.

  • Identify, qualify, contact, consul and visit the important hotels and accommodation suppliers to grow the portfolio in assigned territory.

  • Educate DidaTravel’s colleagues on market dynamics and specific needs/requests from your portfolio.

  • Secure additional rates and availability information over high demand and compression periods to satisfy customers’ pressing needs.

  • Secure seasonal deals and dynamic promotions within the guidelines set by Management to support the brands’ merchandising and marketing efforts.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.

  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of hotel contracting / hotel revenue & distribution experience.

  • Solid hotel revenue / e-commerce / distribution background with proven record of handling major OTAs and online wholesalers will also be considered.

Skills:

  • Excellent organization and time management skills, rigor, attention to details

  • Ability to effectively communicate to various levels and through a variety of communication channels

  • Able to work independently as well as be a strong team worker, ensuring the whole team wins.

  • Ability to work and thrive in a multi tasked, fast-tasked, fast paced environment.

  • Proficiency in English and Chinese language skills

  • Proficiency in MS office.

  • Appetite for innovative technology, fast changing business environment, data driven decision- making.

  • Demonstrates analytical skills

  • Relationship builder.
