Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated educator to teach Retail Services and equip students with practical, industry-relevant skills. The role involves designing effective instructional materials, fostering a supportive and career-focused learning environment, and mentoring students to develop their personal and professional capabilities. The educator will also provide career guidance and build strong partnerships with parents, industry partners, and the school community to enhance student outcomes.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons and hands-on demonstrations in retail services

  • Develop effective instructional materials and authentic learning experiences

  • Mentor students and model professionalism, resilience, and positive values

  • Foster an industry-relevant, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

  • Guide students in exploring education and career pathways

  • Collaborate with parents, industry partners, and community stakeholders to enhance student learning

  • Support departmental initiatives, curriculum planning, and continuous improvement efforts

Personal Competencies, Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or higher qualification in Business, Marketing, or a related field

  • Hands-on experience in Retail Operations, Merchandise Display, Customer Service, and e-Commerce/ Online Retailing

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in retail or service-related roles

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills

  • Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning and professional growth

Preferred Credentials

  • Teaching or training experience

  • WSQ ACTA and/or ACTEP certification
