MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Customer Relationships and Growth
-Build strategic relationships with buyers, category managers, group category managers and supply/online operations with CVS or other assigned accounts.
-Lead in business reviews, JBP, products distribution, assortment, pricing, trade visibility and achievement of account targets.
-Negotiate trading terms, listings, display/visibility, and promotions within approved guidelines and ROI thresholds.
-Drive sell-in and sell‑out growth via assortment optimization, planogram compliance, on‑shelf availability and in-store promotional execution.
2) Team Leadership – Merchandising and In‑Store Execution
-Lead and manage a team of merchandisers to deliver in‑store excellence within CVS, including planogram compliance, on‑shelf availability, promotional execution and managing stock returns.
-Ensure promotion set-up is implemented accurately and on time across all assigned stores, including POSMs, secondary displays and activation readiness.
-Oversee daily/weekly route planning, store coverage and productivity of the merchandising team to maximize channel coverage and compliance.
-Establish routines for gathering competitive intelligence (pricing, displays, NPD sightings, promo mechanics, OOS incidents) and convert insights into meaningful reports for improvements and internal stakeholders and/or principals.
-Conduct regular store visits to audit compliance, coach merchandisers and address retailer operational issues swiftly.
3) Planning, demand planning and S&OP
-Build promo calendars aligned to retailer events, submit deals on time in each retailer portal with mechanics, funding source and sales forecast.
-Post‑evaluate promotions (uplift, ROI, shrinkage) and continuously improve mix and depth across channels.
-Lead bottom‑up demand plan by account/SKU; reconcile with S&OP, highlight risks and opportunities towards achievement of commercial objectives.
-Monitor inventory health (OOS risk, near‑expiry, slow movers) and execute corrective actions (pull‑through promos, transfers, markdowns).
4) Problems solving
-Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to address and resolve retail and operational issues that surface from time to time, such as product issues, near expiry stocks, etc.
5) Analytics & Reporting
-Own weekly/monthly dashboards: in-market and scanned sales vs. target, distribution, OSA/OOS, promo performance, trade expenditure and other relevant reports.
-Use retailer POS, panel and internal data to generate insights and turn them into action plans with clear owners and dates.
6) Other duties
-Such as road shows, festive booths, company’s stocks take etc, as reasonable assigned to the Assistant Key Account Manager.
