About Us
We are a New Zealand-based mother and baby brand with an established distribution network spanning over 60 countries and regions worldwide. As part of our continued global expansion and channel development strategy, we are seeking an experienced International Sales Manager to be based in either Singapore or Hong Kong.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market Development
l Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new regions, including emerging and currently untapped markets
l Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified distributors and agents through end-to-end business negotiations and contract execution
l Support successful market launches by providing product training, coordinating initial orders, and establishing local distribution channels
2. Distributor & Agent Network Management
l Manage and support the existing distributor and agent network across more than 60 countries by conducting regular business reviews, monitoring sales performance, and overseeing inventory levels
l Provide distributors and agents with sales tools, promotional support, and brand resources to strengthen local market penetration
l Drive partners to achieve annual sales targets by implementing a tiered partner management system to identify high-potential distributors and phase out underperforming partners
3. Sales Strategy & Performance Management
l Translate global sales objectives into regional quarterly and monthly execution plans
l Analyse regional sales data, market trends, and competitor activities, and adjust pricing, promotional, and product mix strategies accordingly
l Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute cross-border online and offline campaigns, including baby expos, buyer events, and e-commerce promotions, to enhance international brand awareness
4. Cross-functional Collaboration
l Coordinate closely with headquarters teams, including product, supply chain, and compliance, to manage order processing, logistics, customs clearance, and product certification processes, ensuring smooth product supply to distributors and agents
l Gather feedback from distributors and end consumers to support product localisation and continuous product improvement
5. Business Travel & Relationship Management
l Regularly visit distributors, key retailers, and strategic partners within assigned regions
l Represent the brand at major international trade exhibitions (e.g. CBME, Kind + Jugend) to expand industry networks and identify new business opportunities
Requirements
Education & Experience
l Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Marketing, International Trade, Business Administration, Business English, or a related discipline
l Minimum of 5 years’ experience in international sales or overseas business development, including at least 2 years of direct distributor/agent management experience
l Experience in maternity & baby products, FMCG, homeware, or New Zealand/Australian consumer brands will be highly advantageous
Language & International Exposure
l Fluent English communication skills (both written and spoken) are essential for daily communication with headquarters, contract negotiations, and distributor meetings
l Candidates must have overseas working experience or substantial international exposure through study or work (e.g. Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia/New Zealand, Europe, or the Americas), with strong cross-cultural communication skills and understanding of regional market dynamics
l Mandarin and/or Cantonese proficiency will be considered an advantage, particularly for Greater China market support
Core Competencies
l Strong negotiation and channel development capabilities, with the ability to independently manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract execution
l Data-driven mindset with solid analytical skills; proficiency in Excel and CRM systems for pipeline and distributor performance analysis
l Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working effectively across multiple time zones in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
l Familiarity with maternity and baby product distribution channels, including mother & baby retail chains, department stores, and cross-border e-commerce platforms across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, or Europe
l Knowledge of international product safety standards (e.g. ISO, REACH) and New Zealand product certification processes will be an added advantage
