Indirect Tax Senior Manager

We are looking for an experienced person to join the International Tax Department to help shape, develop and execute SHEIN’s global indirect tax strategies.

This person will have the chance to work with different departments in SHEIN and alongside business leaders. The ideal candidate should enjoy non-conventional tax work and thrives in a fast-paced work environment. He or she should have a strong background in international indirect taxation, be self-driven and possess a strong sense of ownership to see projects to conclusion.

Job Responsibilities

• Monitor changes in global indirect tax policies and regulations, assess their impact on the company's operations and advise senior management on potential risks and opportunities

• Develop and implement global indirect tax strategies to optimize the company's global indirect tax position and risks, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations and optimising indirect tax costs

• Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of indirect tax projects that directly impacts Business eg. Cost optimization, Automation

• Provide day-to-day operational indirect tax guidance to business and finance functions and provide end-to-end support to enable products/projects go-to-market

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

• 8-10 years of international Indirect tax experience with a passion to make a difference

• Experience in E-commerce/online business is a plus

• Demonstrates thought leadership ability to communicate complicated tax matters across all levels of the organization in a value driven manner

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism

• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization

• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion and meeting deadlines
