Position: Fresh Produce Quality Inspector (Night Shift)
Location: Singapore
Client Overview
Our client is a fast-growing e-commerce fresh grocery platform based in China, specializing in online ordering and rapid delivery of fresh produce, meat, seafood, and daily necessities to households through an integrated logistics and fulfillment network, serving urban communities with quality-focused grocery solutions.
Position Summary
As a Fresh Produce Quality Inspector, you will ensure the quality and safety of incoming and in-stock fresh produce, coordinate quality control processes, and work closely with supply chain teams to maintain high standards throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Master basic identification skills for fruits, vegetables, and other fresh produce; accurately assess product freshness, specifications, and quality indicators.
Conduct inspection and acceptance of incoming fresh produce materials, strictly following inspection standards and procedures; report results and any exceptions promptly.
Perform routine inventory inspections to identify and address quality issues (e.g., spoilage, deterioration) to prevent unqualified products from entering distribution.
Supervise sorting and packaging operations, verify product assembly quality, and ensure that delivered products meet established standards.
Assist in handling quality exceptions and batch issues; communicate proactively with relevant stakeholders to resolve problems and reduce quality risks.
Collaborate with supply chain partners (suppliers, procurement, quality control, production, warehousing, logistics, etc.) to track and improve quality management across the full chain.
Carry out other duties related to fresh produce quality and supply chain management as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
Associate degree or above, preferably in Food Science, Food Safety, Biology, Agriculture, or related fields.
Outstanding candidates with relevant experience may be considered with an associate degree.
Basic English reading and writing skills preferred.
Professional Skills
Familiar with fresh produce acceptance standards and key quality control points in production processes.
Knowledgeable about supplier audits and inspection procedures.
Capable of data analysis and developing process documentation; able to write standard operating procedures (SOPs) independently.
Familiar with national food safety standards and industry best practices.
Possession of quality inspection certificates, HACCP, ISO22000, or similar certification is a plus.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in fresh produce inspection or quality control.
Experience in food enterprises or third-party testing organizations is an advantage.
Familiarity with raw material inspection and on-site quality control, with solid industry knowledge.
