Responsibilities:
Identify the organisation’s purchasing requirements.
Research, source, and procure high-quality products and materials.
Analyse target markets and monitor buying trends.
Plan and execute merchandise assortment strategies aligned with financial and merchandising objectives.
Plan and manage Open-to-Buy (OTB) to achieve financial targets and sell-through goals.
Set retail pricing and analyse profit margins.
Process purchase requisitions and provide order status updates to management.
Build strong supplier relationships and negotiate optimal pricing, MOQs, and delivery timelines.
Track purchase orders, manage delivery schedules, and coordinate shipments.
Liaise with warehouse teams on logistics and storage requirements.
Manage and develop the e-commerce channel.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Warehouse, and Finance.
Prepare and analyse weekly and monthly sales performance reports.
Execute weekly replenishment plans and shop-to-shop stock transfers.
Monitor and control inventory levels, including markdowns, clearance, and promotional activities.
Ensure product quality and expiry compliance, escalating issues to suppliers and management as required.
Contribute to overall team objectives by completing related tasks as needed.
Requirements:
Min. Diploma in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, Business Development or relevant discipline.
Min. 3 years of buying experience in F&B, Retail or FMCG environment.\
IT savvy, meticulous, good sense with figures and strong analytical minded
Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Excellent planning, independent, strong time-management skills and multitasking ability.
A good team player
