A leading consumer goods manufacturing company is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to accelerate the growth of its housebrands across B2B and B2C markets. This role offers the opportunity to lead strategic partnerships, oversee sales operations, and drive e-commerce initiatives, while mentoring and guiding the sales and e-commerce team. The ideal candidate is a strategic and commercially minded leader with a strong track record in business development, sales leadership, and digital commerce, ready to make a meaningful impact on brand growth and market expansion.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1.     Business Development

  • Build in-depth knowledge of the company’s housebrands and offerings.

  • Identify, engage, and secure corporate partnerships while nurturing relationships with individual consumers to maximize engagement, loyalty, and revenue.

  • Develop and implement business development plans with clear objectives, timelines, and measurable outcomes to expand market share, brand awareness, and revenue.

  • Prepare standardized, persuasive presentations and proposal decks for corporate and consumer prospects.

  • Execute strategic growth initiatives on time, ensuring consistent follow-through and accountability.

2.     E-commerce & Digital Strategy

  • Optimize product listings, pricing, promotions, and user experience to drive online sales and conversions.

  • Develop and execute strategies to increase online traffic, engagement, conversion rates, and repeat purchases.

  • Track and analyze digital performance metrics, implementing improvements to maximize operational efficiency and results..

3.     Sales Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales and e-commerce team, ensuring alignment with business goals.

  • Drive team performance metrics, ensuring individual and collective targets are met or exceeded.

  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product Development, Quality Assurance, Customer Support and Logistics teams to execute initiatives efficiently.

  • Oversee business development and e-commerce budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources.

4.     Market Analysis & Strategy

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior to inform data-driven strategies.

  • Implement KPIs and performance metrics to track the success of partnerships, sales, and digital initiatives.

  • Identify new growth opportunities, regions, and customer segments for market expansion.

  • Support B2C customer retention and engagement strategies, including repeat purchase initiatives and loyalty programs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, and e-commerce management, covering both B2B and B2C markets; FMCG or related industry experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of local FMCG markets, trade channels, and consumer behavior; regional market knowledge is a plus.

  • Proactive, results-driven, with a proven record of achieving or exceeding targets.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in preparing and delivering impactful presentations.

  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting data and guiding strategic decisions.

  • Experience leveraging digital analytics tools to track performance and inform business decisions will be an advantage.

  • Leadership experience, with the ability to manage and mentor a multi-functional team.

  • Experience managing budgets and allocating resources effectively.

  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work across departments to achieve business outcomes.
