Company Profile
SOBA Network is a zero-knowledge (zk) biometric verification platform that proves you are you without ever exposing your private data.
We enable seamless, privacy-preserving authentication by combining advanced biometrics with zk-proofs. This allows businesses to verify users with 100% certainty while ensuring the user remains in total control of their identity. We aren't just verifying IDs; we’re building the trust layer for the future of the private web."
Job Description
1. Market Research & "Product-Fit" Identification
The intern’s primary job is to find the "low-hanging fruit." They would research industries where identity theft is high and data privacy is a dealbreaker.
Targeting: Identifying companies in FinTech (banking apps), Healthcare (patient portals), Web3/Gaming (preventing multi-accounting), and E-commerce (high-ticket fraud prevention).
Competitor Mapping: Keeping an eye on legacy KYC providers (like Onfido or Jumio) and identifying where their friction points (data storage risks) allow SOBA to win.
Lead Scoring: Creating a "Target 100" list of companies that currently store sensitive biometric data and would benefit from switching to a zk-proof model.
2. Initial Outreach & Lead Generation
Once the targets are identified, the intern handles the "cold-to-warm" transition.
Personalized Messaging: Crafting outreach emails or LinkedIn messages that focus on data liability. (e.g., "Is your current KYC process creating a honey-pot of biometric data that puts your company at risk of a GDPR breach?")
Gatekeeping: Reaching out to Product Managers, CTOs, or Compliance Officers to book initial 15-minute discovery calls for the senior team.
CRM Management: Keeping the pipeline organized (using tools like HubSpot or Salesforce) so no potential partner falls through the cracks.
3. "Light" Marketing & Thought Leadership
Since SOBA is a technical product, the marketing is about education.
Social Selling: Engaging with industry leaders on LinkedIn and X (Twitter) by commenting on news about data breaches or AI deepfakes, subtly positioning SOBA as the solution.
Content Support: Helping create simple one-pagers or "Explainer" posts. For example: "What is a zk-proof? Think of it like proving you're over 21 without showing your birthdate."
Community Monitoring: Watching for mentions of identity verification pain points in developer forums or tech communities.
4. Competitive Intelligence
Tracking Trends: Monitoring regulatory changes (like the EU AI Act or updates to CCPA) that might force companies to seek out more private verification methods like yours.
Event Prep: Researching attendees for upcoming tech or cybersecurity conferences so the team knows exactly who to hunt down for a coffee meeting.
