The Operation teams at Shopee covers the operational end-to-end process, from when the buyer searches for a product listed on the Shopee platform, to the moment the buyer receives the products. The team analyses and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when operation performance fluctuates. The Operations team comprises Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations and Fraud.

The Shopee Regional Logistics team is committed to providing Shopee's users with the best possible e-Commerce logistics experience in the most cost-effective way.


We are seeking a data-driven Automation Engineer (Maintenance & Reliability) with a proven track record in managing large projects to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional problem solving skills along with engineering and automation knowledge.


Alongside a team of experienced project managers, automation designers, control engineers and maintenance engineers, you will play a pivotal role in managing projects to optimise the engineering reliability and maintenance processes across 8 markets.



  • Engineering Capability: Innovate solutions to resolve pain points, creating and adopting good engineering maintenance practices

  • Project Management Office: Drive alignment, governance, and execution excellence in automation reliability projects, ensuring that regional initiatives are effectively planned, monitored, and delivered

  • Process improvement: Lead cross-functional teams to design and implement maintenance optimisation projects and cross-pollinate learnings across 8 markets

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges to ensure high machine availability, performance, and quality

  • Performance Management: Define, track, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress and ensure continuous improvement



Requirements:




  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering

  • Experience in engineering projects and maintenance  

    • Electrical Engineering: electrical segmentation, circuit breaker selection, UPS design

    • Computer Engineering: OT and IT systems, configuration of routers, basic Linux server administration experience



  • Curious and motivated to understand root causes and dedicated to solving problems

  • Strong sense of ownership with ability to take a structured, hands-on approach using methodologies like DMAIC or PDCA

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders

  • Willingness to travel, as most projects are across markets in Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Brazil
