Assistant Product Development Manager / Senior Product Developer

Summary

The objectives of the position are to:

• Assist the Senior Product Development Manager in supporting product development and design team including overall product development process from initial concept through to sample creation in accordance with our strategic planning timelines


• Establish a design and development strategy for the product category


• Innovate, inspire and grow the product category according to business targets


• Maximize work efficiencies

What you'll do

The holder of the position is mainly responsible for the following areas in coordination with his / her superior:

• Work closely with Senior Product Development Manager and Merchandising to drive department turnover through your design and development strategy, bringing in seasonal updates, new themes and new products


• Research into new trends, innovations and new product ideas


• Manage the design and development timelines and workflow to ensure critical deadlines are maintained and adhered to


• Responsible for working cohesively in overseeing moodboard, artwork card creation, techpacks and product design briefings to both internal and external designers, including 3D digital images/ CGI


• Develop and select appropriate fabric and trims


• Collaborate with Merchandising and Quality to ensure product design and fitting are aligned for sample launch


• Present seasonal trend and product presentations to stakeholders

What you'll need

• Degree in product design, graphics design or related discipline


• Approximately 5-8 years of product development or design related experience


• Experience in European retail market


• Good eye for trend, a strong fashion sense, design talent and a creative mind


• Cost benefit mind set


• Team player with an interest to collaborate in a fast-paced environment


• Must be independent, proactive and committed to working in a dynamic environment


• Strong leadership and communication and presentation skills


• Excellent English language skills.


• Willing to travel as required


• Experience in Menswear design/product development


• Proficient in Google Workspace, Adobe Creative Suite (Design CAD), Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, etc
